Retired Physicians

The Retired Physicians Organization (formerly the John Locke Society) is an interest group of the Kansas City Medical Society enabling retired physicians to connect with each other and get involved in the community. All retired physicians in the area are welcome to join, regardless of membership in other organizations.

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Retired Physicians Organization is to engage and utilize the experience, talent, and volunteerism of senior physicians to further the healthcare of the public, including educational offerings to key stakeholder groups. In addition, the organization will provide social and fellowship opportunities, including luncheons and museum tours, for senior physicians and medical students and will work closely with the leadership of local medical societies, educational institutions and other support groups to advance its mission.
