Contractor: Project Manager – Regional Health Equity Workforce Planning

Summary
The Kansas City Medical Society Foundation seeks a contract Project Manager to lead a 6-month, grant-funded collaborative planning effort. The project aims to co-create a
regional logic model and evaluation framework to support healthcare workforce development and equitable access to career pathways for students in under-resourced
communities. This initiative provides the basis for success for a larger collective impact effort in 2026. If successful, this role may develop into a position for a full-time,
salaried Program Director.
Scope of Work
- Lead and coordinate a collaborative planning process
- Facilitate communications with partner organizations
- Ensure meeting effectiveness and adherence to timeline through preparation, coordination, and follow-through with collaborative partners
- Manage the work of contract facilitator and evaluator
- Integrate data from partner sources and regional assessments
- Prepare drafts and final versions of:
o Logic model
o Shared evaluation framework
o Final summary report
- Manage presentation of logic model and framework in 2026
Deliverables
- Bi-weekly progress updates
- Coordinated partner convenings (5-7)
- Draft and final logic model and evaluation framework
- Written project report suitable for funder submission
- Presentation event January 2026
Budget
Up to $42,000 inclusive of time and expenses. Payment will be structured in installments based on deliverables.
Qualifications
- Proven project management skills in public health, workforce development, or
- nonprofit collaboration
- Strong grounding in adaptive leadership
- Experience with collective impact and cross-sector coalitions
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with healthcare workforce
